Terms of service

Last updated . Using Certistate means agreeing to these.

What the service is

Certistate runs automated accessibility tests against web pages you name, and produces a Statement. It is a compliance engine. It is not a certification, an audit, or legal advice. See the scope of our claims, which is part of these terms.

What you may assess

You may submit a URL only if at least one of these is true:

You may not use the service to:

We honour robots.txt and cap a free Assessment at 25 pages per Property, with limits on how often the same Property and the same address can start one.

Statements are public

A Statement link works for anyone who has it. That is deliberate: Statements are meant to be forwarded. We do not index them in search engines. If a Statement about your site should not be reachable, email contact@simucorps.org and we will remove it.

Your account

Sign-in is by emailed link. Anyone with access to your inbox can sign in as you, so keep it secure. Tell us if you think somebody else has used your account.

Monitoring a site requires proving you control the domain, by a DNS record or a file we can fetch.

Availability

The free service is provided as it is, with no uptime promise. We may change or withdraw it. If we discontinue it, we will say so in the changelog and give you time to export your Statements.

Liability

To the extent the law allows, Certistate is not liable for any loss arising from the use of the service or from reliance on a Statement. A Statement with no Findings is not a defence to any claim, and we do not represent that it is. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Your content

You keep every right you have in your own site. We store Assessment results and screenshots of pages we visited so we can show you the Statement, and for no other purpose.

Ending it

You can stop using the service at any time and ask us to delete your account. We may suspend access that breaks these terms, and we will say why if we do.
